This art deco Chinese rose screen bracelet is based on the Asian folding screen, a flower motif framed in Tang Dynasty crystal borders. Vintage iridescent glass roses of coral, fuchsia and purple and aqua luster cabochons illuminate this Art Deco style. Swarovski crystal in montana, olivine, fuchsia, padparadscha trace the borders. Fluid, articulating motion with hidden insert clasp. Finished in warm burnished bronze. Signed Sweet Romance USA. Made in our Los Angeles, CA studio.
The Inspiration: This design is based on Chinoiserie, the decorative style of the 1920s and 1930s, an era devoted to interpreting and adopting Oriental design in fashion and the decorative arts. A very popular home furnishing, especially for a romantic boudoir was the coromandel folding screen of black lacquer incised with flowers and birds.
7.25" long x 1.5" wide
