These art deco earrings begin with a geometric top set with old sapphire blue crystal squares. A vintage jade glass cabochon and teardrop highlight the design. Ruby and smoke crystal accents glimmer in this long, sassy, very 1920s style. Made in our Los Angeles studio. Size 2.5" L x 0.5" W. Choice of post or clip, which adjusts for the perfect fit and comfort.
Shown with coordinating necklace which can be viewed at this link.
The Inspiration: All of the decorative arts of the deco period were influenced by the mystique of the Orient. I acquired this glass many years ago when I dealt with a dealer in New York who had been the primary importer of glass jewels during the 1930s and 1940s. I often bought goods sight unseen, just on his opinion. These vintage elements are used very selectively for my limited edition jewelry designs.
