My artwork for the Bunny Girls was developed from Victorian era rabbits. Each image is burnished to a glass oval dome in the very same process used so many decades ago. The bunny is visible at every angle, just like a design within an antique paperweight. Exquisitely fabricated by hand in our Los Angeles studio. These little personalities will keep Spring in your heart the whole year through. Size: 2.5" long by 2.5" wide. Vintage glass cabochons, seed pearls and crystal.
Meet Bobbie: Sweet natured and talented, Bobbie makes Easter bonnets of her own design. She keeps each one in a special millinery box, tied with a pink satin ribbon.
Meet Vickie: Adventurous and spirited, Vickie loves life among the flowers of springtime. Her cozy burrow is decorated with lily-of-the-valley, forget-me-nots and Easter lilies.
Meet Tossie: Reserved and elegant, her given name is Antoinette, but everyone who loves her calls her Tossie. She poses for her portrait with a pink satin egg and spray of lilacs.
And now...My favorite Easter memory...
My best friend’s mom had the distinction of being the town Easter Bunny. She looked like the genuine article, except that her fur buttoned up in the back and her floppy ears were secured with strings tied under her chin.
All the kids at the Egg Hunt cheered her arrival on seeing her old blue Ford rounding the bend to the wooded park. . A trove of treats had already been hiddenand the Hunt commenced with the youngest child. Since then, every Easter reawakens the marvel of brightly foiled chocolate eggs, chenille chicks, speckled malt eggs and that very special Easter Bunny with the painted-on whiskers.
